Vol. 1 No. 2 (2025)The present issue of the Journal of Advanced Mining Modeling includes applied studies focused on the optimization of critical equipment maintenance through Lean Maintenance approaches and Monte Carlo simulation; cost reduction in loading and hauling operations using artificial neural networks; and operational time control of LHD equipment aimed at optimizing unit mining costs. Additionally, the issue presents contributions in mine planning, such as final pit optimization using the Lerchs & Grossmann algorithm implemented in Python, as well as the economic analysis of mitigating critical interactions between loading and hauling equipment through mathematical models based on angular geometry.

Se incluyen estudios sobre predicción de resistencia del hormigón mediante regresión lineal, predicción de desprendimientos de taludes con K-Nearest Neighbors, detección de zonas inestables en macizos rocosos usando redes neuronales y procesamiento de imágenes, y evaluación de contaminación acústica en perforación de canteras.
