Author Guidelines

Original research articles and reviews are sent to a minimum of two (02) external reviewers for evaluation. Reviewer names are kept anonymous to the author(s) (Blind Review). To facilitate arbitration, authors can send a list of four (4) potential reviewers specializing in the subject of the article, with their respective email addresses. The editor will verify if the submitted material conforms to the journal's editorial line. If it is positive, it is sent to two reviewers (not necessarily those that were suggested) so that they can express their opinions within a maximum period of 20 days (according to the “Opinion sheet” presented below); Otherwise, the editor reserves the right to send a report to the author to change or redo his article, totally or partially, without implying a respective commitment to the final acceptance of the document for publication. In the worst case, the manuscript is rejected and the authors are informed. Articles that are not accepted will receive a report containing the reason for the denial.

The reviewers answer the following questions:

1. Does the manuscript represent a new and original contribution?
2. Are the abstract and keywords objective and appropriate?
3. Does the material sent clearly specify the purpose of the topic?
4. Is the method, strategy, intervention or experiment suitable, applicable and replicable?
5. Are the results valid for other contexts and realities?
6. Is the stated objective achieved?
7. Do you consider that the conclusions are justified and consistent with the information presented?
8. Is adequate and up-to-date bibliography cited for the development of the topic?
9. Does the material need to be reviewed in terms of style, spelling and grammar?
10. Is the article acceptable for publication? If so, specify if: a) In its current form; b) With some modifications (based on the content of the article indicate which ones); c) After an important revision (based on the content of the article, indicate which ones). You can make use of additional sheets.
11. How would you rate this manuscript? Outstanding _; very good _; Okay _; regular _; deficient _?

After the return of the opinions, the editor prepares a report and communicates the decision to the author. If the opinion is favorable, this report is used by the authors to prepare a new version of the manuscript and resubmit the manuscript. The procedure is repeated until there are no observations. In the case of an unfavorable opinion, the reasons and comments of the reviewers are communicated in the report.
