- PhD in Mining Safety and Control, Mining Engineering – National University of Central Peru (UNCP), 2021.
- Master’s degree in Mining – University of Chile. Training in surface and underground mine design, geotechnics, deposit evaluation, statistical and geostatistical data analysis, mining operations management, risk and decision analysis in mining, cost estimation and capital investment, mining systems, and unit operation simulation.
- Mining Engineer – National University of San Cristóbal de Huamanga (UNSCH). Ranked in the top fifth of his graduating class and awarded distinctions for student leadership and participation in national mining engineering congresses.
Specialist in blasting and optimization of mining processes, applying Lean Mining methodologies (Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping) to improve cycle times, productivity, and operational safety.
He has extensive experience in underground mining, notably his work at Codelco Chile – El Teniente Division, where he participated in the planning and development of the Block Caving mining method.
His research lines include mining geotechnics, underground excavation design, operational safety, and predictive models applied to mining, with publications in Scopus-indexed journals (Q3 and Q2).
