Abstract

Los Lepidópteros conforman uno de los órdenes de insectos fundamentales para la reproducción de las plantas, en muchos casos presentan adaptaciones en cuanto a sus preferencias alimentarias, que se restringen a un reducido grupo de plantas en su etapa larvaria, siendo muy generalistas en su etapa adulta. En el presente estudio se describen las especies de la familia Lycaenidae encontradas en el valle del Río Rímac, Lima; según sus características externas, además de sus plantas hospederas si en caso se tiene información sobre ellas, y así constituir una guía útil para la determinación de especies de la zona de estudio.
