Alfabetización financiera en microempresarios

La alfabetización financiera es cada vez más relevante en el contexto económico actual, debido a la creciente complejidad de los mercados y la influencia de las decisiones financieras en la calidad de vida. El objetivo principal fue sintetizar y evaluar la evidencia existente sobre la alfabetización financiera en los últimos 5 años. El método contempló una investigación detallada en fuentes de información científicas como Scopus, WOS, Redalyc, Researchgate y EBSCO, implementando criterios específicos de inclusión y exclusión. Se escogieron 40 estudios publicados entre 2019 y 2024 para su análisis. Los resultados indican que factores como la edad, género, condición civil, nivel educativo e ingresos influyen significativamente en el grado de competencias financieras de los microempresarios. Se observó una asociación positiva entre la alfabetización financiera y el desempeño de los negocios, incluyendo mejoras en rentabilidad, crecimiento y supervivencia del negocio. Además, se observó que un mayor nivel de conocimientos financieros facilita el acceso y utilización de servicios financieros oficiales. La principal conclusión es que la alfabetización financiera tiene un rol importante en el éxito y sostenibilidad de las microempresas, destacando la importancia de implementar proyectos de educación financiera ajustados a las demandas concretas de los microempresarios para fomentar el crecimiento financiero inclusivo.
