La experiencia fue cualitativa, aplicando el método hermenéutico - dialéctico, la recolección de la información se llevó a cabo mediante la entrevista individual, haciendo grabación de los discursos, e inmediatamente después se analizó la información, categorizando los resultados. Se tuvo en cuenta los criterios establecidos para la participación de los estudiantes, que sean alumnos de quinto y sétimo ciclo, matriculados, para la rigurosidad en el procesamiento de la información se tuvo en cuenta la triangulación obteniendo la confiabilidad y la validez de los resultados, en las consideraciones éticas se tuvo presente la confidencialidad y anonimato. Los resultados permitieron conocer que las estudiantes de enfermería determinan que el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico: se da ―poco a poco, con la motivación del docente‖. No se desarrolla el pensamiento crítico ―por no haber tenido base, falta de confianza, miedo y temor‖. Concluyendo que el rol motivador del docente influye en el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico de la estudiante de enfermería; pero contradictoriamente, el docente puede bloquear el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico al generar miedo y temor. La propuesta considera revisión de currículo y sílabos, por parte de docentes y estudiantes, el uso de metodologías activas y evaluación permanente de los procesos; estimulando permanente al estudiante.<br />Palabras clave: Desarrollo pensamiento crítico, Estudiante de Enfermería.</p><p><br />ABSTRACT</p><p>The present research was carried out to analyze and categorize the Critical thinking development in the National University of Trujillo Faculty of Nursing student, the sample was taken from nine volunteer students. This experience was qualitative, applying the hermeneutic – dialectic method. The data collection was taken through individual interviews, recording speeches in order to analyze the information and categorize the results. It was brought into account the ruled criteria for students participations, who were formally registered fifth and seventh cycle students. To be thoroughness in the information process it was taken into account the triangulation with the reliability and the validity of the results and the confidentiality and anonymity for ethical<br />considerations. After the analysis and categorization, the results reached as a conclusion that the nursing students determine this critical thinking development: This is "little by little, with teacher motivation‖, critical thinking does not develop because of having not basic knowledge, lack of confidence and fear. This research finally concludes, teacher motivating role influences on the nursing student critical thinking development, contradictorily, the teacher himself can block it by generating fear.
