La presente investigación estuvo dirigida a, utilizando el modelo animal <em>Mus musculus </em>BALB/c, determinar: la forma de tripomastigota sanguíneo (delgada, I o gruesa, Y) predominante, los niveles de parasitemia, el tiempo de infectividad y de mortalidad, el tropismo tisular y las alteraciones histopatológicas de poblaciones de <em>T. cruzi</em> obtenidas de <em>Panstrongylus chinai</em> (Tz-1 y Tz-2) y de <em>Panstrogylus herreri</em>  (Tcut-1 y Tcut-2) infectadas naturalmente en Zaña-Lambayeque y en Cutervo-Cajamarca (Perú), respectivamente. La predominancia de los tripomastigotas y los niveles de parasitemia se evaluaron a partir del sétimo día post inoculación (pi) y el tropismo tisular y las alteraciones histopatológicas, luego de la muerte de los animales. En todos los casos se encontró predominio de las formas Y sobre las formas I. En las Tz-1 y Tz-2 la parasitemia se inició entre los 7 y 10 días pi alcanzando picos de 4290000 tripomastigotes/mL y la muerte de los ratones ocurrió entre los 16 y 23 días, con marcado tropismo cardiaco y muscular. En las Tcut-1 y Tcut-2 la parasitemia se inició entre los 13 y 28 días pi alcanzando picos variables de hasta 3440000 tripomastigotes/mL, la muerte entre los 23 y 150 días pi, y notorio tropismo cardiaco. Inflamación, edema, congestión con destrucción de tejido  fueron las alteraciones histológicas observadas. Estas características permiten ubicar a las Tz-1 y Tz-2 dentro del biodema II, mientras que las Tcut-1 y Tcut-2 no han podido ser ubicadas concretamente dentro de los biodemas registrados, pudiendo tratarse de uno nuevo.</p><p><strong>Palabras clave: </strong><em>Trypanosoma cruzi, Panstrongylus chinai, </em> <em>Pantrongylus herreri, Mus musculus,  </em>alteraciones histopatológicas, biodema</p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p><em>Trypanosoma</em> <em>cruzi</em> is composed of a complex of populations that vary from one area to another in their biological and pathogenic features, in basement of this point we conducted an investigation that was aimed to determine: predominant sanguineous trypomastigot-form, (thin, I or gross, Y), parasitemia levels, infectivity time, mortality, tissue tropism and histopathology damage of <em>T. cruzi </em>populations isolated from <em>Panstrongylus chinai </em>(Tz-1 and Tz-2) and <em>P. herreri </em>(Tcut-1 and Tcut-2) captured in Zaña, Lambayeque and in Cutervo, Cajamarca-Peru, respectively, naturally infected in <em>Mus musculus </em>BALB/c experimentally inoculated. Trypomastigot predominance and parasitemia levels were evaluated at 7<sup>th</sup> day post inoculation (pi), while tissue tropism and histhopathologic damage were evaluated post mortem. It was found more frequency of Y-trypomastigota form than I form. Tz-1 and Tz-2 populations began parasitemia at 7<sup>th</sup> to 10<sup>th</sup> days pi, with peak of 4290000 tripomastigotes/mL and death between 16<sup>th</sup> and 23th days pi, with cardiac and muscle tropisms. Tcut-1 and Tcut-2 populations began parasitemia at 13<sup>th</sup> to 28<sup>th</sup> days pi, with peaks of 3440000 triyomastigotes/mL, death between 23th and 150<sup>th</sup> days pí, and cardiac tropism. Inflammation, edema, congestion and tissue necrosis were discovered as pathogenic damage. In conclusion, Tz-1 and Tz-2 populations to concern biodema I and Tcut-1 and Tcut-2 populations were can not placed in any biodeme recorded-</p><p> <strong>Key words: </strong><em>Trypanosoma cruzi </em>, <em>Panstrongylus chinai </em>, <em>Pantrongylus herreri </em>, <em>Mus musculus </em>,  histopathologic damage, biodema</p>}, number={1}, journal={SCIÉNDO}, author={Aurazo, Cristian and Roldán, Judith and Jara Campos, Cesar Augusto}, year={2014}, month={ago.} }
